Nicola Cittadin was born in 1973 in Rovigo (Italy). He received his musical training at the Conservatory of Rovigo, where he conclude his diploma 1995 in piano and in 1999 in organ und organ composition. During his training with several choirs and orchestras in Italy, he worked as an accompanist, including Polyphonic Choir of Citta di Rovigo, Coro da Camera Italiano “Athestis Chorus” with conductor Filippo Maria Bressan, Orchestra Sinfonica della RAI (Radio Televisione Italiana) under the direction of N. Jarvi and from 1995 to 1999 with “Venetian Youth Orchestra” where he participated in concerts in Italy, Germany and Norway.
His main office since February 2006 is as organist at the Reformed Church in Hinwil – Zurich Oberland and, since December 2004 he is director for the historic organ (build by Joseph Merklin) at the Elizabeth Church Basel. He was also guest professor at the State Academy of Music Oslo ( 2005), and (since september 2008) professor for the musicologist research project “invisible hand II” at the University of the Arts Berne.
